Clemson's Polomski wins three national communication awards
CLEMSON — Clemson extension horticulture specialist Bob Polomski will receive three national communications awards July 15 at the National Association of County Agricultural Agents meeting in Greensboro, N.C.
He will receive awards in the personal column category; bound book category; and as a finalist in the radio category.
Polomski won for the "Garden Works" columns he writes for the Anderson Independent-Mail. His book award is for the S.C. Master Gardening Training Manual and the radio award is for Clemson University’s "Your Day" radio gardening programs. Your Day radio is broadcast on the South Carolina Educational Radio Network from noon to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Polomski’s gardening program is broadcast on Tuesdays.
He also will receive an award from the American Society for Horticultural Science Extension Materials Awards Program for his S.C. Master Gardener Training Manual. The award will be presented July 22 at a meeting in Orlando, Fla.
The National Association of Agricultural Agents is an extension organization of professionals who work in agriculture, horticulture, forestry and natural resources, 4-H youth development, community development, administration, aquaculture and Sea Grant and related disciplines.
