Reeves appointed to leadership role in financial aid organization

CLEMSON — Keith Reeves, associate director of financial aid at Clemson University, will serve as president-elect for the Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA) beginning July 1.

Keith ReevesAs president-elect, Reeves also will serve on the board of directors of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.

“I have seen the association grow through the years but the mission stays the same: to serve as an advocate for financial aid programs for students,” Reeves said. “The association evolves as the economic and political climate changes. SASFAA members continually share best practices in handling those changes.”

Incorporated in 1963, SASFAA is an organization of more than 1,600 financial aid professionals in nine southern states — Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia — whose purpose is to promote the professional preparation of individuals within financial aid; to develop effective programs related to student financial aid; to facilitate communication between all interested parties within the financial aid community; and to continually evaluate and update services to the membership. Members include financial aid administrators of colleges, as well as employees of state and federal agencies related to financial aid, private foundations and banks and other profit and non-profit entities involved in the student loan industry.
