Marlboro County 4-H to celebrate organization's 100th anniversary
MARLBORO COUNTY — Marlboro County 4-H will have a celebration to mark 4-H’s 100th anniversary at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, at 714 N. Marlboro St., Bennettsville.
All 4-H alumni, current 4-H’ers, volunteers, donors, community leaders and friends are invited.
There will be a reception with light refreshments followed by a program at 4 p.m. There will be slide shows highlighting 4-H through the years will be shown and a 4-H’er will read a 4-H poem. Rep. Doug Jennings, Marlboro County Council chairman, and Kelley Rembert, state 4-H leader, will speak and 4-H alumni and donors will be recognized. At the end of the program they will cut a cake and release 100 balloons.
