Clemson extension to conduct private pesticide-applicator recertification training
ANDERSON — The Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service will offer private pesticide-applicator recertification training starting at 7 p.m. April 21 at the Anderson extension office at 313 S. Towers St.
This program will offer participants two hours of continuing education credits toward their private pesticide-applicator licenses. The cost is $20.
This class will look at the dangers of prolonged pesticide exposure as well as discuss the importance of personal protective equipment
A private-applicator license in South Carolina is required for those who want to buy restricted-use pesticides for the use in the production of a agricultural commodity products from farms, nurseries, greenhouses and forests on land that they or their employers own, rent or lease.
To register, call the Clemson extension office in Anderson at 864-226-1581, ext. 0. Participants must register by April 17. Space is limited to the first 40 participants.
