4-H is offering 4-H2O Water Quality Program set for June 9-12
ANDERSON — Anderson County 4-H is offering a 4-H2O Pontoon Classroom on Lake Secession's Boy Scout Point. The program focusing on water quality and resources will be open to youths ages 9-13 who know how to swim. This is a week-long program that will be held from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. June 9-12. The cost is $45, which includes a notebook, T-shirt, materials and snacks.
Lake Secession serves as the classroom while pontoon boats allow the participants to leave the shoreline. The goal of the program is to educate youths about water quality, conservation and stewardship through a variety of hands-on activities.
Should anyone require special accommodations due to a disability, notify the Clemson Extension office in Anderson prior to the event.
Participants must pre-pay to be registered. Make checks payable to: Clemson University and mail to 313 S. Towers St. Suite 106 Anderson, S.C. 29624.
