Anderson County 4-H to offer 4-H2O water-quality program July 21-24
ANDERSON — Anderson County 4-H will offer a 4-H2O Pontoon Classroom at Hartwell Lake's Sadlers Creek State Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 21-24. This week-long program will focus on water quality and resources and will be open to youths ages 9-13 who know how to swim.
Hartwell Lake serves as the classroom, while pontoon boats allow the participants to leave the shoreline. The goal of the program is to educate youths about water quality, conservation and stewardship through a variety of hands-on activities.
The cost of the program is $45, which includes a notebook, T-shirt, materials and snacks.
Should anyone require special accommodations due to a disability, notify the Anderson County Extension office prior to the event.
Participants must pre-pay to be registered. Make checks payable to Clemson University and mail them to Anderson County Extension, 313 S. Towers St. Suite 106, Anderson, S.C. 29624.
