S.C. Botanical Garden celebrates Flower Day June 11-12
CLEMSON — The Garden Club of South Carolina Garden will sponsor two days of Flower Day celebrations at the South Carolina Botanical Garden Fran Hanson Discovery Center as part of National Garden Week. Visitors will get to see a wide variety of flower arrangements and displays as well as learn from educational programs about floral design.
Floral arrangements designed by members of The Garden Club will be on display from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, June 11, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, June 12. Admission is free.
Two educational programs will be offered free of charge. Linda Mattison will lead a program on floral design for the home at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Carriage House. Pat Abercrombie will lead a program to discuss and critique the floral designs on display throughout the Fran Hanson Discovery Center at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
National Garden Week, sponsored by National Garden Clubs, is June 7-11. During the month of June the S.C. Botanical Garden will feature two new artists in the Fuller Art Galleries along with new garden-inspired items in the Gift Shop.

The South Carolina Botanical Garden is located on the Clemson University campus at the intersection of U.S. 76 and Perimeter Road. It encompasses 295 acres of display gardens, nature trails, woodlands and streams, and is open year-round from dawn to dusk, free of charge. It is partially supported by the state of South Carolina via Clemson University, but relies on private funding, memberships and proceeds from educational events to continue operations.
