Pickens County 4-H to hold Junior Master Naturalist programs

PICKENS — Pickens County 4-H is offering two Junior Master Naturalist programs for children ages 8 to 13 on April 4 and April 18. The cost is $10 per class, which includes program materials and a morning snack. 

The April 4 class will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Jones Gap State Park. Class participants will learn about snakes, salamanders, frogs and turtles.

The April 18 program will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Clemson Department of Natural Resources office. Participants will be introduced to the field of wildlife biology by exploring tracks and scat and pelts and skulls.

Junior Master Naturalist programs helps youths understand the natural world through hands-on activities, experiences and observations in the natural world.
