New Anderson County 4-H sheep club to meet May 31

ANDERSON — Anderson County 4-H is starting a new Upstate 4-H Sheep Project Club for ages 5-19. The event will be from 3 to 5 p.m. May 31 at the Western Starr Farm of Terry and Tara Wyatt, 1951 Rainey Road, Starr.

The club is being formed to give young people the opportunity to learn about and work with a small farm animal and to participate in 4-H demonstrations, shows and activities. Members are not required to own a lamb.

"The dual production of meat and wool provide opportunities for creative projects for the young people who join the club," said Mrs. Wyatt, a 4-H volunteer leader.
