CLEMSON — Glen Joyner of Charleston, a Clemson University junior majoring in computer science, was inducted into Upsilon Pi Epsilon, the national computer science honor society. Upsilon Pi Epsilon recognizes outstanding scholastic and professional achievements in the computing and information disciplines.

Upsilon Pi Epsilon is recognized worldwide as an indication of excellence in computing. Members volunteer to assist with weekly tutoring sessions for undergraduate students in freshmen- and sophomore-level computer science classes. Social activities are also promoted to encourage a sense of community among student members and non-members alike.
