Clemson resident recognized by Clemson’s School of Computing

CLEMSON – Clemson University student Yvon Feaster of Clemson, a senior majoring in computer science, received the School of Computing Faculty Special Recognition Award.

The faculty recognition awards are given to exceptional students who have excelled in service to the School of Computing through help with recruiting, public service and leadership in student organizations.

This year, eight School of Computing awards were given to 11 students. The awards include outstanding sophomore, outstanding junior, outstanding senior, faculty special recognition, outstanding graduate teaching assistant, outstanding computer science M.S. student, outstanding computer science Ph.D. student and outstanding graduate student researcher.

The Undergraduate Affairs Committee nominates undergraduate students for the awards based on GPA and credit hours completed in the School of Computing. Sophomores and juniors can be in either the B.S. in computer science program, the B.A. in computer science program or the B.S. in computer information systems program. Graduate students are nominated for the graduate level awards by faculty in the school of computing.
