Learn about Clemson’s FastTrac program at Workforce Renewal Expo
LIBERTY — Budding entrepreneurs and small business owners looking for ways to grow their companies into big successes can get an early look at upcoming FastTrac classes in Pickens County.
The Clemson University FastTrac booth at the Workforce Renewal Expo May 21 at the Rosewood Center, 429 E. Main St., Liberty, will provide information about entrepreneurship and small business classes that will run this summer.
Presentations about the FastTrac program will be from 1 to 2:10 p.m. and from 4 to 5:10 p.m.
The Workforce Renewal Expo — free and open to the public — is sponsored by Pickens County.
The FastTrac classes are facilitated by Will Culler of the Clemson Institute for Economic and Community Development and the University Center for Economic Development at the Sandhill Research and Education Center in Columbia.
The classes offer business owners the chance to take their ventures to the next level. A recent FastTrac class in Georgetown County attracted a diverse mix of business owners, Culler said, including a freelance writer, landscape architect, Web site designer and a real estate agent.
