Clemson extension offers home food preservation class May 30

MONCKS CORNER — The Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service in Moncks Corner is offering a six-hour food preservation class, "Preserving Foods at Home," on Saturday, May 30.  

The principles of selecting and storing produce will be covered. Participants will prepare fruit and vegetables for freezing and canning. They will learn current USDA processing methods for water-bath and steam-pressure canners. 

Class size is limited to eight participants and the cost is $50.
