SUGGESTED TIMELINE FOR IMPLEMENTING
THE OLWEUS BULLYING PREVENTION PROGRAM
Below is a suggested timeline for implementing the program to assist you
in planning.
Keep in mind that your school will have work to do before deciding to implement
the program. Click here for a checklist to help determine if your school is
ready to implement the Olweus Program.
Ideally the program should be launched at the beginning of a school year (note
the blue headings below). If that isn't possible, the program can also be launched
in January, after the holiday break (note the dates in parentheses).

- Begin classroom meetings, with discussion of classroom/school rules
- Increase supervision
of students in "hot spots" for bullying

of the program

not time-limited. Program elements should be incorporated into the everyday
