Susan Limber, PhD, MLS,
Co-author of the “Blueprints” Olweus
Bullying Prevention Program, Dr. Limber is a faculty member with the Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life and Professor
of Psychology
at Clemson University. As a developmental psychologist, her research
and writing has focused on the legal and psychological issues related
to youth
violence, child protection and children’s rights. She has directed
the first wide-scaled implementation and evaluation of the
Olweus Bullying Prevention Program in the United States. In
recent years,
she has consulted
with numerous schools around the country on the reduction of
bullying among school children.

Vicki C. Flerx, PhD, is an Olweus Bullying Prevention Program Training Director and a research
assistant professor at Clemson University’s Institute on Family & Neighborhood Life in
South Carolina. She has expertise in both public and mental health. Prior to earning her
doctorate in public health, Dr. Flerx spent fifteen years as a therapist working in
psychiatric settings and focusing on women and youth who were victims of abuse. Dr.
Flerx was one of the University of South Carolina researchers who first brought the
Olweus Bullying Prevention Program to the United States. Dr. Flerx trains and consults
nationally to support the dissemination of the program. In addition, she has conducted
research in family violence, including intimate partner violence, child abuse, and children
exposed to domestic violence.

Nancy Mullin, M. Ed., co-author of Quit It!, is a Research Scientist
at the Wellesley Center for Women and the Director of both the Preschool
Empathy Program and the Project on Teasing and Bullying. With over 25 years
experience in the education and training field, she is the senior trainer
for the Olweus Bullying Prevention Model within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Her interests are in curriculum development for elementary and middle schools
with special attention to gender issues and she has presented across the
country. Other publications include “A Selected Bibliography of Children’s
Books About Teasing and Bullying” (K-5), “Teaching Young Children
To Care: An Empathy Curriculum for Preschool” and “TV’s
Youngest Viewers: Infants, Toddlers, and Television”.

Jane Riese, MSW, LSW, is a Research Associate with Clemson University's Institute on Family & Neighborhood Life, who resides in Pennsylvania, has been a trainer, social worker and prevention educator since 1982, Jane had the opportunity to observe Olweus schools in Bergen, Norway. In consultation with Dr. Olweus and Dr. Susan Limber, she became one of the program's first U.S. certified trainers and helped coordinate the first U.S. Olweus training of trainers held in 2001 in Pennsylvania. She currently oversees training of the Olweus program for Clemson. Jane created and directed restorative justice programming in her community, and was also the director of the York County District Attorney's Victim/Witness Office.

Marlene Snyder PhD, is an Assistant Research Professor at Clemson
University. Dr. Snyder, who resides in Montana, is an international conference
speaker, trainer and technical assistance consultant, for educational,
child welfare, juvenile justice agencies as well as community and parent
education organizations. She regularly consultants with a wide variety
of professional organizations, and has authored various articles, curricula
and other publications on a diverse spectrum of education, child welfare
and juvenile justice related topics. Her book, AD/HD & Driving: A
Guide for Parents of Teens with AD/HD, and articles for the National
Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, AD/HD: Separating Fact from
Fiction illustrates her ability to translate multidisciplinary research
into easily understood, useful, and practical materials.

Lead Trainers
Rodger Dinwiddie M.Ed., is the Executive Director of STARS (Students Taking A Right Stand) Nashville, Tennessee since its inception in 1986. With over 30 years of experience in education and social services, he is the coauthor of the training program Anger, Violence and You, and has provided hundreds of school and community-based substance abuse, violence prevention/intervention and student assistance trainings throughout the United States. He is a Lead Trainer for the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program. Rodger continues to provide consultation to many schools in Tennessee and other states in the establishment of school wide efforts to improve school climate and the social/emotional health and well being of students and adults. He is Past-President of the Board of Directors of the National Student Assistance Association and serves onnumerous local and state organizational boards dedicated to school improvement and the prevention and intervention of substance abuse and violence.

Catherine (Katie) Moffett Ed.D., is the Director of Bully-Free Virginia, Dr. Moffett is a faculty member with the Center for School-Community Collaboration at Virginia Commonwealth University. She serves as principal investigator for a statewide Olweus Bullying Prevention project that provides training, consultation, program materials and financial assistance for 45 elementary and middle schools in 17 Virginia school divisions. A professional educator for over 30 years as a school counselor or teacher at all levels (K-12) and in the Virginia Commonwealth University Master’s Degree program in Counselor Education, Dr. Moffett consults with school division leaders, school personnel and Olweus trainers. Her research interests are in bullying prevention and social skill-building.
