Clemson University’s faculty has a long history of offering rigorous, engaging, and innovative classroom instruction. The Office of Online Education (OOE) is a resource for faculty, equipping Clemson’s online educators with the conceptual and technical skills needed to successfully navigate the unique challenges and opportunities of online instruction.
Faculty members at any technical skill level are encouraged to contact the OOE for instructional training and support - from help uploading files to Blackboard to development of online video content. The OOE will also work with faculty members to enhance course facilitation and feedback skills in light of unique features of online pedagogy.
University policy and procedure for required support and training opportunities for all faculty teaching online are currently in development. The new instructional support and training program will be managed by the OOE, and requirements are currently being developed with the guidance of the Faculty Advisory Board.
