How do I upload an image at the same time I insert it in my content?

You can upload a file that does not yet exist in Cascade at the same time you choose to insert an image or create a hyperlink within the content region.

Inserting an Image

Place your pointer in the area desired for the image and click on the insert image icon on the toolbar. The insert image window offers two tabs – one for internal images and one for external, such as one on an external Web site. We are going to insert an image that is not yet in Cascade but you want to upload to Cascade, so we’ll stay on the default Internal tab.

Click the file chooser icon.

Choose the folder into which you wish to upload the image file.

Upload a File

Select the folder. It is only when the folder is selected that the Upload pane will appear.

Click the Upload pane.

You must have write permissions to the folder selected. Also, the folder must not require a workflow (or you must be able to bypass the workflow).

Navigate to the location of the file you wish to upload, located on your hard drive, external drive, network drive, etc.

Click the page chooser icon.

Choose the folder into which you wish to upload the file.

Select the folder – it is only when the folder is selected that the Upload pane will appear.

You must have write permissions to the folder selected. Also, the folder must not require a workflow (or you must be able to bypass the workflow).

From here just follow the same instructions as those for uploading an image.
