What is Cascade?

Cascade is a Web-based content management system (CMS) developed by Hannon Hill to support the creation and maintenance of Clemson University Web sites.

What Are The Benefits of Cascade?
Cascade offers Clemson Web content managers a high level of functionality - without complexity or confusion. It allows for timely publishing, easy updates and enhanced search-engine ranking, and helps with Section 508 compliance.

Who Can Use Cascade?
Clemson University employees who are the Responsible University Official (RUO) for a public Web site at “clemson.edu” can have access to Cascade once they have taken Cascade training. Cascade provides Web content managers who have basic to advanced knowledge of Web site best practices an efficient way to keep their Web content fresh from anywhere they have internet access. An easy-to-use Web site best practices manual can be found at www.abanet.org. You may also download a pdf of OWS's Cascade tutorial or visit our Cascade How-To site. Sites created in Cascade are published to the University's Web server.
