July 29th, 2009Thanks so much to everyone for the feedback you’ve been sending us. As you can tell, we have made a lot of changes to the site in the past week. We are taking all suggestions into consideration. We’re not able to respond personally to every e-mail we receive, but we do want to thank you for taking the time to e-mail us or post on this blog.
Choosing, adding stories to gateways

Launch date
July 20th, 2009After much consideration, we have decided to move the launch date back a couple days so it will not interfere with grades being posted. Therefore, our new launch date is 4:30 p.m., Friday, August 7. At this point we will put up a temporary homepage explaining that the site is down while we upload the new site.
Not all sites will be affected by this change. All college sites and most department sites as well as numerous group sites within Cascade will not be affected at this time. Only sites moving into the new templates will be affected.
In the coming months we will continue to update and move all sites within Cascade into the new templates.
Defining the homepage spotlights
July 17th, 2009We thought of a lot of ways to prominently feature items on the new Clemson homepage that are in keeping with the new brand style and emphasize the University’s top priorities — academics, research and public service.
The result — two spotlights on the right-hand side of the page. One for research, one for academics……
A word about the new brand
July 17th, 2009To help the University move into the top 20 of public universities we are implementing a new branding concept. Here is a brief explanation about the new brand that has been the catalyst for the new Web site redesign.
The concept rationale draws from the idea of “the determined spirit,” which captures the emotion of our diverse University community……..
