“The Nation’s Oldest and Most Respected Undergraduate Honors Organization”
Clemson University is excited to welcome South Carolina’s Delta Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa to campus. This honor is not lightly bestowed on universities, and it says a great deal for the quality of faculty and students at Clemson.
The induction of our first class is big news for our community. Here are a few things people are saying:
“What this means to our students is that their Clemson degree will have even more value. What it means to Clemson is that another of our 10-year goals has been achieved. I believe Phi Beta Kappa and Clemson fit well together.”
~Jim Barker, President of Clemson University
“The arrival of Phi Beta Kappa on our campus continues Thomas Green Clemson’s dream and seems both fitting and fortuitous in that it coincides with the celebration of Thomas Green Clemson’s birth. We think Clemson would be pleased; we know we are.”
~ Dr. Alan Grubb, Associate Professor of History and President of Clemson Phi Beta Kappa
“It is a tangible recognition of how good a school Clemson truly has become.”
~ Dr. Jens Holley, Clemson Libraries department chair and Secretary of Clemson Phi Beta Kappa
