Office of the President

Dear Clemson:

Did you know that if you donate $1.00 per week to United Way you can supply breakfast for 52 children at a local shelter for abused and neglected children? Or provide home care services for an elderly person? Did you know that for just $2.00 per week you can support one woman for a day in a domestic violence shelter?

The value of our donated dollars to United Way goes beyond the monetary cost. Through United Way, our dollars become a powerful force for good. They carry the combined strength of our entire community joining together to help its neighbors.

The Clemson University United Way campaign currently stands at 60% of our goal of $80,000. I hope that you will join me this year in working towards reaching our goal and making a real difference right here where we live. The Clemson University family has always stepped up to the challenge when it counts. By donating to United Way, we can take a leadership role in our community, work towards making positive changes, and provide lasting solutions to real problems.

Sincerely,
James F. Barker, FAIA
President
