Office of the President
November 16, 2007
Dear Clemson:

We started our football season this year with a big night-time victory over Florida State on Labor Day.  We end the regular season with two big night games back-to-back.

I am proud that our game day experiences this year have been overwhelmingly positive.  Just last month, Clemson was named an All-American Sportsmanship School for 2007-2008 in recognition of a “culture of sportsmanship” that unites players, coaches, students and fans.

Visiting fans have written to me this fall to say that Clemson people are friendly and welcoming, and that our campus offers the best college game day experience in the nation.  This, too, fills me with pride.

The Boston College game may be our most important game in Death Valley in decades.  The game demands our loudest support ever.

That loud support does not mean we change our approach to treating Boston College fans as our guests, before, during and after the game.  When we win the Atlantic Division of the ACC let’s do it with class (Clemson class).

Also please remember to take care of yourself and your friends as you celebrate.  Be careful and safe so you can enjoy the ACC Championship in Jacksonville.

Go Tigers!
