The Chief Human Resources Officer develops strategic initiatives, including policy development consistent with the University Mission and State Policy. The Chief Human Resources Officer serve as a catalyst for inspiring and collaboratively leading a high performance culture that engages the University in defining and implementing innovative and diversified human resource functions including, but not limited to, developing effective leaders, championing technological advancements and supporting efforts in delivering services in support of the University mission. The Chief Human Resources Officer reports administratively to the Chief Business Officer on budgeting, staffing and departmental issues while submitting University policy issues directly to the President and the Administrative Council.

The Chief Human Resources Officer will achieve these expectations by instituting aggressive employee recruitment techniques, establishing improved classification/compensation review and monitoring processes and providing strong leadership examples, training opportunities, and guidance. Faculty and staff are the University's most valuable resource and this position is expected to provide innovative and proactive leadership in managing these resources to enable the University to achieve its mission.
