Gail DiSabatino
The Vice President for Student Affairs has primary responsibility for the oversight and administration of all student matters and welfare outside the classroom and is expected to provide strong leadership in:
- Enhancement of Clemson University's distinctive sense of place by providing a safe, well-maintained living-learning environment.
- Promotion of academic success, retention, graduation and employment.
- Encouragement of students to learn and grow, both individually and as members of their communities.
- Enhancement of the campus climate in the areas of diversity and sense of community.
- Provision of efficient and effective administration.
The Vice President for Student Affairs is responsible for providing guidance and establishing a clear and professional working relationship with the departments that fall under this umbrella such as New Student and Sophomore Year Programs, Center for Student Involvement, Dean of Students, University Housing, Campus Recreation, Major Events, University Union, Student Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Community and Ethical Standards, University Career Services, Parking Services, Clemson University Police Department, Municipal Court, Student Post Office, Multicultural Services, International Student Programs, Student Affairs Information Technology, Tiger 1 Card Office and the Clemson University Department of Fire and EMS.
