What Does The Clemson Student Look Like?

There is no one picture of the "Clemson Student." One of the things that makes our learning environment so exciting and valuable is the diversity that exists among the student body. Students come from all across the globe in search of one goal: growth through education and community.

Clemson University implements a General Education (PDF) curriculum to broaden a student's learning to and make him or her a more educated citizen. There are six area of competency: written and oral communication skills; reasoning, critical thinking and problem solving; scientific and technological literacy; social and cross-cultural awareness; art and humanities; and ethical judgment. Within this 33 hour curriculum is a requirement of a Digital Portfolio for a student to showcase academic and professional activities.
