Options for Financial Aid

student in labThe University awards over $158 million in financial aid to more than 14,000 students annually. More than 4,600 scholarships are available with awards ranging from $500 to all-inclusive cost coverage. All financial aid is awarded annually, with applications for the upcoming year becoming available in January. A new FAFSA must be filed each year for consideration for need-based aid.

The Clemson National Scholars program awards Clemson’s most prestigious undergraduate scholarships. Based exclusively on merit, this program provides up to all-inclusive costs; including tuition, fees, room, board, books and incidental expenses. Renewable for up to four years, the scholarship includes a study abroad opportunity. Other major competitive academic scholarships are awarded to entering freshmen based on their admission applications.
