The Nov. 14 meeting is at the Big L Warehouse at Mullins and the Nov. 15 meeting is at the Growers Golden Leaf Tobacco Warehouse at Lake City. Each meeting begins at 9 a.m. and adjourns around 2 p.m. Experts from Clemson University and Virginia Tech will discuss management of greenhouse plants and greenhouse clipping research, according to DeWitt Gooden, tobacco specialist with the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service. That will be followed by talks on the outlook for tobacco, concerns of the Flue-Cured Tobacco Cooperative Stabilization Corp., quality issues and management of diseases and insects. After a question-and-answer session and lunch, a demonstration of tobacco baling equipment is scheduled. The Big L Warehouse may be reached by turning left at the Big L sign on Highway 76 east of Mullins. The Growers Golden Leaf Warehouse is on Highway 341 west of Lake City. END
