The four programs will originate on the Clemson University campus and will be transmitted via satellite to downlinks throughout the state. The Clemson Extension Office in your county will coordinate arrangements, and many local Extension offices will serve as viewing sites. The programs will be offered on Tuesday evenings in October from 7-9 p.m. There will be a small fee to cover materials and refreshment costs. Topics will include nutrition for both the young horse and the older horse, the appropriate forages for our climatic conditions and the latest recommendations for the fescue/pregnant mare syndrome. Clemson specialists will share information about breeding techniques and why they work. Also, animal waste issues will be discussed in light of the new state regulations. Each session will include time for interaction with the presenters and others in the audience. For more information, contact your county's Clemson Extension Office. END
