DATE: 12/22/98 EDITOR: Bill Baker, (864) 656-3875 Greenville Extension Agent Honored by Farm Bureau GREENVILLE - Clemson Extension Agent Danny Howard of Greenville County was honored recently by the Greenville County Farm Bureau. The Farm Bureau presented Howard with its Distinguished Service Award for his service to agriculture. "Howard's willingness to work in all areas of commercial agriculture from crop to livestock production has made a difference in agricultural production and awareness in Greenville County," said Gene Cornett, president of the county Farm Bureau. Howard serves as an adviser to the Farm Bureaus board of directors and provides guidance to the Hillcrest and Woodmont high schools Young Farmers, among his other activities. He has also taken an active role in the Beef, Meat Goat, Ratite and Beekeepers associations, helping them with their marketing and management efforts. END
