Pee Dee REC Hosts Cotton Grower's Annual Meeting

     FLORENCE - South Carolina cotton growers will hold their
annual meeting Dec. 15 at Clemson University's Pee Dee Research
and Education Center.
     The meeting will be held in Room 265 and will begin at 10
a.m.
     There will be reports on the S.C. Boll Weevil Program, the
containment program in post-eradication areas and the
Southeastern Boll Weevil Eradication program's operations in
Mississippi and Tennessee.
     Growers will hear updates from the Farm Service Agency, the
Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, the S.C. Boll
Weevil Foundation, and Clemson's Department of Plant Industry. 
Also, there will be an opportunity for the cotton growers to ask
questions about any aspects of the boll program.
