"Growers will discuss growing techniques and see demonstrations on how to inoculate logs and other growing media," said Walker Miller, Clemson Extension Service plant pathologist and adviser for the CEMA. They will also hear Bill Norman, director of the Recreational Travel and Tourism Institute at Clemson University. "He will talk about mushroom growing and selling as a recreational way to produce farm-fresh food that is superior in quality to that found in the chain store," said Miller. "He'll explain how mushroom growers can organize into groups to host visitors to the farm while combining education with a recreational experience." The Sunday meeting will be from 2 to 5 p.m. at the home of CEMA member Jenny Sample. Cost for the meeting will be $5. Family memberships will cost $15. Contact Mary Anne Johnson at (803) 957-7556 or Jenny Sample at (864) 445-9582 to let organizers know you plan to attend. Call the Samples resident for directions to the home. "This will help us plan the meal," said Miller. END
