Ed Garrison Livestock Arena Oct. 13-14 to compete for prize money and world championship points for Fall Round-Up 2000. Bucking bulls and horses from Ken Treadway's championship rodeo string will help provide the action. The main events will be bare back bronc riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, cowgirls barrel racing, calf roping, team roping and bull riding. Tim "Wild Thang" Lepard and The Ghost Riders will be on hand to tickle the crowd with a spectacle of Capuchin monkeys dressed up as cowboys, riding tiny saddles on the back of border collies. Special Clemson flag grand entry presentation will be staged at both performances. "Professional cowboys and cowgirls will travel from all over the United States to Clemson for the only IPRA rodeo scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 13-14," said Allan Quinn, owner of Easy Bend Farms. "On a normal weekend, they have numerous locations to choose from. This will be the only competition that will award them money and points toward the championship, so everyone will see a lot of great cowboys and cowgirls." "Rodeos continue to be one of our favorite attractions at the Garrison Arena," said Charles Williams, arena manager. "The IPRA rodeos feature top contestants and entertainment. It's great to have Tim Lepard back at the arena. He's a huge crowd favorite." Reserved seating is $12. General admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-12. Ages 5 and under is free. The event starts at 8 each evening and is being sponsored by Easy Bend Farms of Easley. For more information contact Allan Quinn at (864) 859-4364 or the arena office at (864) 646-2717 or 646-2718.
