On Christmas Day enjoy an hour of music by the Clemson University Choral Ensembles recorded Nov. 30 at the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts. The program will feature a repeat performance of music performed by the Clemson University Singers for Thanksgiving at Carnegie Hall. The Women's Glee and Men's Glee will also perform traditional and seasonal music and all three ensembles will come together for a stirring performance of the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah. Begin the New Year on Jan. 1 with an examination of the New Year's Day holiday. Clemson Extension Food and Nutrition Specialist Libby Hoyle will talk with Janis Hunter, Anderson County Extension agent, and Miriam Roman from the Sumter County Extension office about the traditional New Year's day meal for the first half of the program. In the second half of the program, Mike Coggeshall, Clemson University professor of sociology, will discuss more traditions, superstitions and practices of the day with Ervena Faulkner of Port Royal, a retired educator and food columnist with the Beaufort Gazette.
