Danny H. Roberts, assistant to the vice president for Public Service Activities at Clemson for the past four years and former resident of Murray, Ky., is in the running for the 2001 John Grenzebach Research Award in Philanthrophy for Educational Advancement. The award will be presented in June by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) at its international convention in San Francisco. Roberts graduated from the University of Missouri in December of 1999. His doctoral dissertation research centered on "Targeting potential donors from the ranks of non-traditional and traditional students at the undergraduate and graduate levels: A comparative analysis for institutional development." While at the University of Missouri, he was selected to Who's Who in American Education and Pi Lamda Theta National Honor and Professional Association in Education. He also received a Certificate of Merit from the Media Design and production Division of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (ACET). Roberts is a 1975 graduate of Murray State University, where he received both his bachelor's and master's degrees in communications and journalism. He is married to the former Marilou Link, and they live in Clemson. He is the son of Mrs. Audrey Roberts and the late Clyde Roberts. He has one daughter and two stepdaughters. Daughter Danette Roberts Jones lives with her husband, Darren, and daughter, Kennedy, in Murray. Stepdaughters Julie and Alyson live in Iowa. END
