Botanical Garden CLEMSON -- Do some personal spring cleaning with two April workshops in the South Carolina Botanical Garden at Clemson University. The "Conflict Resolution" series meets Tuesdays from noon to 1 p.m. April 3-24. This workshop provides tools for resolving conflicts with family, friends and co-workers in a sensitive and effective manner. "Conflicts are inevitable and natural," said Ernie Denny, creative awareness programs facilitator for the garden. "This workshop is for people who want to learn how to approach conflict with a collaborative and positive attitude instead of with fear and anger." The "Five Rites of Rejuvenation" series meets Wednesdays from noon to 1 p.m. April 4-25. This workshop teaches five simple, dynamic exercises for health, energy and personal power that are based on Tibetan yoga. The exercises require just a few minutes each day to enhance energy and strengthen and regenerate both the body and the mind. "These exercises are purported to be a 'fountain of youth' for those who practice them regularly," said Denny. "Previous yoga experience is helpful but not required." Both workshop series are led by Terry Pizzuto, a body movement and life choice enthusiast who has studied these areas for more than a decade. Anyone with health or physical challenges should contact Pizzuto in advance at tpzzt@clemson.edu. The workshops will be held at the Hayden Conference Center in the Botanical Garden on the Clemson University campus. Cost is $40 for each workshop series, due by March 30.
