Pee Dee REC hosts cotton
growers' annual meeting

      FLORENCE - South Carolina cotton growers and the Boll 
Weevil Eradication Foundation will hold a joint meeting at 10 a.m.
on Dec. 12 at Clemson University's Pee Dee Research and Education 
Center in Florence. 
      Growers will hear updates from the Farm Service Agency, the
Clemson University Extension Service, the S.C. Boll Weevil Foundation, 
the Southeast Boll Weevil Eradication Program and Clemson University 
Regulatory and Public Service Programs. 
      "This is the grower's opportunity for input and to have his 
questions answered," said David Howle, department head, Clemson 
University Fertilizer and Seed Certification Services.
