Continuing that tradition of respect and diversity, the university will hold a think tank on "The Role of Cultural Values and Their Relationship to 'One Clemson'" Nov. 12 at Tillman Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. "It is important for Clemson to receive recommendations from some of the best minds the state has to offer if we are to continue being seen as a school for students of all races," said Romando James, professor, Department of Family and Youth Development and principal investigator for the program. The think tank will: · Cover the diversity, roles, relationships and cultural values of all ethnic groups at the university; · Add to the body of knowledge for enhancing the importance of cultural values of ethnic groups at every level of higher education. The results of the program will be recorded and recommendations will be distributed to James Barker, Clemson president. "Strengthening our sense of community and increasing our diversity are all part of recognizing and appreciating Clemson's distinctiveness. This program will help maintain an environment that is healthy, safe and attractive," said Barker. Clemson University 4-H Operation P.R.I.D.E. and the Chi Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc, held in conjunction with the National Psi Phi Week, are presenting the program. END
