The classes will be Dec. 2 in the Fairfield County Extension office in Winnsboro, Dec. 3 in the Chester County Extension Market Building in Chester, and Dec. 4 in the York County Extension office in York. Classes begin at 9 a.m. and conclude around 3 p.m. each day. Topics for each class will include: drift, personal protective equipment, security, storage, disposal and fire ant control. Cost is $35, including lunch. Five recertification credits will be awarded to each participant upon completion of the class. Sessions will also be held Dec. 2 in the Lancaster County Extension office and Dec. 3 in the Union County Extension office. Hours for each will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Speakers will cover the same subjects as in the daytime meetings, except for fire ant control. Cost is $20. Three recertification credits will be awarded upon completion of the class. Instructors will be Bob Bellinger and Tim Davis, Clemson Extension entomologists.
