Have you ever had a tree talk to you? Finding out what trees have to say and exploring trees and anything that relates to trees will be fair game on a new television program -- Tree Talk. Hosted by Clemson Extension Forester George Kessler, Tree Talk will air on Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. on South Carolina Educational Television (ETV). Chuck Leavell, keyboard artist for the rock band Rolling Stones, performs the music for the program. "Tree Talk is a fast-paced show designed to bring people face to face with our dominant landscape cover, our trees," said Kessler. "The show is educational, entertaining and has something for all age groups. Our goal is for viewers to say: 'Wow, I didn't know that. That's cool'." The show will feature Leavell and his wife Rose Lane, who are owners of Charlane Plantation in Dry Branch, Ga. Viewers will take a tour of their plantation. Other features include the tree professor, a wildlife ecologist, John Q. Tree and kids in the woods. Rounding out the 30-minute show will be segments with people who live and work with trees. They will explain the signs among the forest and the trees and what these signs mean. For more information on Tree Talk, check out www.tree-talk.org. END
