Your Day radio schedule for week of Dec. 2

     CLEMSON -- The following "Your Day" radio programs from Clemson
University Radio Productions are scheduled to air on the South Carolina
Educational Radio Network for the week of Dec. 2. The program airs from

     MONDAY, DEC. 2 -- S.C. Focus -- The Drummond Center for
Statesmanship. Bob Becker, director of the Strom Thurmond Institute,
talks with Jay West of Erskine College about a leadership center named
after S.C. State Senator John Drummond of Greenwood County.
     Community Matters -- Creating Family-Friendly Workplaces. Maureen
Lee of the Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life visits the Golden
Strip Family and Child Development Center and meets with Tom Charles, a
community outreach worker with Strong Communities for Children in the
Golden Strip, and Cynthia Upton, office manager for a small business in
Simpsonville.
     The Arts -- The Atlantic Brass Quintet. Mickey Harder of the
Brooks Center for the Performing Arts, visits backstage with members of
this award-winning ensemble, and we enjoy selections from the September
19th concert at Clemson University.
     TUESDAY, DEC. 3 -- Palmetto Gardening -- A live call-in program on
lawn and gardening topics hosted by Lexington County Extension agent
Sam Cheatham.
     Got Bugs? -- A live call-in program on insects and other household
pests hosted by Charlotte Holt with Cam Lay, assistant department head
of Pesticide Regulation at Clemson University and Eric Benson, Clemson

     WEDNESDAY, DEC. 4 -- Pet Talk -- A live call-in program on West
Nile Virus and other animal healthcare issues, featuring State
Veterinarian Dr. Tony Caver, along with host Ann Lee McPhail, Glenn
Birrenkott, and Anderson Veterinarian Dr. Bobby Long.
     Food for Thought -- A live call-in program on how to eat healthily
during the holidays with Libby Hoyle, Extension food and nutrition
specialist in the Clemson University Department of Packaging Science.
Her guest is Marlyne Walker of the Fairfield County Extension Office.
     THURSDAY, DEC. 5 -- Focus on the Future -- The 100th Birthday of
Senator Strom Thurmond. We focus on the past in this special extended
edition as Donna London of the Jim Self Center on the Future looks back
at the life and career of the oldest United States Senator with Clemson
University Special Collections Curator Susan Hiott.
     Lifestyles for Your Health -- A Heart and Vascular Center at the
Medical University of South Carolina. Jon Keith talks about new
developments in cardio-vascular healthcare with Dr. Michael Gold, chief
of Cardiology at Medical University of S.C.
     Out & About -- Bob McAnally visits with Charleston commentator J.
Douglas Donahue.
     The Chef's Table -- A Winter Recipe. Libby Hoyle, Extension food
and nutrition specialist visits the kitchen at the Charleston Grill.
