Clemson Extension offers 4-H shooting sports program

CLEMSON -- The Clemson Extension offices in Anderson, Oconee and Pickens Counties are offering a free 4-H Shooting Sports Program.

The program will run on March 1 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Pickens Bend Police Range located on West Queen Street near the Clemson Outdoor Lab.

"The event will be carefully supervised, and it will be conducted in a round robin format to include archery, shotguns and air rifles," said Jason Caudill, Clemson Extension agent from Oconee County.

Space is limited; participants must register with the Extension office in Oconee County before attending. The workshop is free to the general public who meet the age requirement of 8-19 years old and are residents of Oconee, Pickens or Anderson Counties.

"Parents should plan on staying for the entire program," said Caudill.

For more information, contact the Extension office in Oconee County (864) 638-5889.
