Program hosts Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett will take you from President Jim Barker’s porch to the Fran Hanson Discovery Center at the S.C. Botanical Garden and places in between. The program will air Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. The holiday special will include: Clemson Extension Horticulturist Bob Polomski giving gift suggestions for the gardener, experienced or novice; Clemson Extension Food and Nutrition Specialists Libby Hoyle and Sue Hovey making holiday breads; Clemson Extension Horticulturist David Bradshaw showing colorful things to plant for the winter garden; and Clemson Extension Urban Wildlife Specialist Candace Cummings demonstrating how to feed the birds during winter. Beth Kunkel, Clemson University professor in the Food Science and Human Nutrition Dept., will show what residents of the Hanover House might have eaten in the 1700s. The Hanover House was built in Berkeley County in 1716 for a Huguenot family. The home is now situated on the Clemson campus. At Home, Southern Style is produced by the Clemson University Communications Center . It airs each week on SCETV, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m. It also is shown on RFDTV on Mondays at 7:30 p.m. RFDTV can be seen on Direct TV on channel 379 and the Dish Network on channel 9409.
