At Home, Southern Style TV
schedule for week of Jan. 19
        
        CLEMSON -- "At Home, Southern Style," a Clemson University TV
program, will air on the South Carolina Educational Television Network
for the week of Jan. 19. Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett of the
Clemson University Communications Center host the program each week,
Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m.
       Viewers may ask questions about a subject that was featured on
the program by e-mail at athome-L@clemson.edu, by phone at (864)
656-3204 or at the shows website http://AtHome.clemson.edu/. The
questions will be answered on selected Friday programs.
        Monday, Jan. 19 -- Wendy Farnum, S.C. Botanical Garden public
information director, and Lisa Wagner, the garden's director, talk
about meadow plants.
        Clemson Extension Associates, Libby Hoyle and Sue Hovey,
examine healthy baking ideas without sacrificing flavor.
        Tuesday, Jan. 20 -- Clemson Horticulturist Bob Polomski visits
an area gardener at her home. Lynn Finley allows us to view her garden
borders.
        Clemson Extension Associate Beth Kunkle offers ideas on how to
choose the best produce at a farmer's market.
        Wednesday, Jan. 21 -- Clemson Extension Associate Elizabeth
Hill contrasts marinades and rubs in the kitchen.
        Family Resource Management Specialist Nancy Porter discusses
planning for security in later life.
        Thursday, Jan. 22 -- McPhail talks with Clemson Urban Wildlife
Specialist Candace Cummings about urban wildlife habitat.
        Clemson Horticulturist Bob Polomski discusses junior master
gardening with Anderson County Science Instructor Larry Kowalski.
        Friday, Jan. 23 -- Clemson Communication's videographer Glen
Spake talks with a cutting horse expert, Ken Smith.
       McPhail discovers how Clemson Extension Agent Toni Pipkins
donates her time to help young teens with the 4-H congress program.
      At Home, Southern Style can also be seen each Thursday at 7 p.m.
on RFDTV. RFDTV airs on Direct TV on channel 379 and the Dish Network
on channel 9409.
