DATE: 6/14/04 At Home, Southern Style TV CLEMSON -- "At Home, Southern Style," a Clemson University TV program, will air on the South Carolina Educational Television Network for the week of June 21. Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett of the Clemson University Communications Center host the program each week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m. Viewers may ask questions about a subject that was featured on the program by e-mail at athome-L@clemson.edu, by phone at (864) 656-3204 or at the shows website at http://AtHome.clemson.edu/. The questions will be answered on selected Friday programs. Monday, June 21 -- Lisa Wagner, education director for the S.C. Botanical Garden and Clemson University volunteer Wendy Farnum visit the children's garden at the S.C. Botanical Garden that was designed by Mary Haque's horticulture class. Then David Bradshaw, Clemson Extension horticulturist, gives gardening tips from the heirloom garden. Tuesday, June 22 -- David Bradshaw answers a question about scale and Beth Kunkel, professor in Clemson University’s Food Science and Human Nutrition Department, talks about food born illness. Wednesday, June 23 -- Libby Hoyle, professor in Clemson University’s Packaging Science Department, and Gilbert Miller, Clemson Extension agent in Bamberg County, are out in the watermelon field talking about watermelon research. Beth Kunkel tells all about B-Complex Vitamins. Thursday, June 24 -- Bob Polomski, Clemson Extension horticulturist, talks with Mickey Taylor, Clemson Extension horticulture agent, about Phydo remediation and Elizabeth Hill, Clemson Extension agent from Greenville County, shows what size a portion of meat "should" be. Friday, June 25 -- Rhonda Mathews, Clemson Extension agent from Abbeville, shows McPhail how to make Pico De Gallo and then Beth Kunkel answers viewer questions about Glucosamine and low carb diets for children.
