At Home, Southern Style TV schedule for week of Nov. 22

CLEMSON – “At Home, Southern Style,” a Clemson University TV program, will air on the South Carolina Educational Television Network for the week of Nov. 22. Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett of the Clemson University Communications Center host the program each week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m.

Viewers may ask questions about a subject that was featured on the program by e-mail at athome-L@clemson.edu, by phone at (864) 656-3204 or at the shows website at http://AtHome.clemson.edu/. The questions will be answered on selected Friday programs.

Monday, Nov. 22 – Lisa Wagner, S.C. Botanical Garden’s education director and Wendy Farnum, Clemson University volunteer, discuss organic gardening.

Libby Hoyle, Clemson Extension food and nutrition specialist, and Host Ann Lee McPhail, visit the S.C. State Fair and discuss biscuits.

Tuesday, Nov. 23 – Bob Polomski, Clemson University horticulturist, and Rae McBride, Anderson gardener, discuss Iris’s.

Beth Kunkel, Clemson University food science and human nutrition professor, discusses salads as a meal.

Wednesday, Nov. 24 -- Candace Cummings, Clemson Extension urban wildlife specialist, and Abby Pressley of Wild Birds Unlimited in Greenville, talk about new items for the fall.

Karen Janeczko, Clemson University student, displays different kinds of Thanksgiving centerpieces.

Thursday, Nov.25 -- Elizabeth Hill, Clemson Extension agent, makes a broccoli and lentil salad.

Garrett Edens, a Clemson University horticulture student, discusses Christmas wreaths.

Friday, Nov. 26 – Will Hiott, Clemson University director of historic properties, tours Fort Hill mansion, also known as Calhoun Mansion.

David Bradshaw, Clemson University horticulture professor, tells how to start and maintain a compost pile.

At Home, Southern Style can also be seen on The South Carolina Channel. It is also scheduled to run on RFDTV, which airs on Direct TV on channel 379 and the Dish Network on channel 9409.
