Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett of the Clemson University Communications Center host the program each week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m. Viewers may ask questions about a subject that was featured on the program by e-mail at athome-L@clemson.edu, by phone at (864) 656-3204 or at the shows website at http://AtHome.clemson.edu/. The questions will be answered on selected Friday programs. Monday, Oct. 18 – Host Ann Lee McPhail and S.C. Botanical Garden ’s Academic Program Director Lisa Wagner explore a shaded bench garden. Then Clemson Extension Agent Elizabeth Hill makes Chunky Apple Sauce. Tuesday, Oct. 19 -- Heather Batt, Clemson University professor in the Food Science Department, makes Spicy Pumpkin Bread. Then Clemson Extension Urban Horticulturist Bob Polomski and Rekha Morris, horticulturist, visit Head Lee Nursery and look at propagating Begonias. Wednesday, Oct. 20 -- When you plant out a shrub or tree, it is important to correctly prepare the soil. Clemson Extension Urban Horticulturist Bob Polomski and Bill Head, owner Head Lee Nursery, give the directions. Thursday, Oct. 21 -- Libby Hoyle, professor in the Department of Packaging Science, and Clemson Extension Agent Sue Hovey get ready to "tail gate" and show how to keep it all safe. Then we learn how to make a bamboo fish tank. Friday, Oct. 22 – Clemson University Food Science Professor Beth Kunkel talks about the fall food mod with "orange food". Then Bob Polomski, Clemson Extension urban horticulturist, and Mickey Taylor, Clemson University horticulturist, talk about Phydo Remediation, or keeping the water clean. At Home, Southern Style can also be seen on The South Carolina Channel. It is also scheduled to run on RFDTV, which airs on Direct TV on channel 379 and the Dish Network on channel 9409. END
