Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett of the Clemson University Communications Center host the program each week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m. Viewers may ask questions about a subject that was featured on the program by e-mail at athome-L@clemson.edu, by phone at (864) 656-3204 or at the shows website at http://AtHome.clemson.edu/. The questions will be answered on selected Friday programs. Monday, Oct. 25 – Beth Kunkel, Clemson University food science and human nutrition professor, and Libby Hoyle, Clemson Extension food and nutrition specialist, discuss the distortion in proportion sizes. Lisa Wagner, S.C. Botanical Garden’s education director, and Wendy Farnum, S.C. Botanical Garden volunteer, discuss fall plants. Tuesday, Oct. 26 – Beth Kunkel, Clemson University food science and human nutrition professor, discusses competitive foods in schools. Bob Polomski, Clemson University urban horticulturist, and Clyde Gorsuch, Clemson University entomology professor, look at water gardens. Wednesday, Oct. 27 - George Kessler, Clemson University forestry professor, tells how to keep trees healthy. Candace Cummings, urban wildlife specialist, and Ashley Presley, of Wild Birds Unlimited, discuss things you don’t think about for winter bird health. Thursday, Oct. 28 -- Kathy Wright, Clemson Extension agent, and Misty Mohr, Clemson University student, discuss ways to prevent debt and how to get out of debt. Laura Windham, Clemson University student, shows how to make wreaths. Friday, Oct. 29 – David Bradshaw, Clemson University horticulture professor, discusses the ins and outs of sweet potatoes. At Home, Southern Style can also be seen on The South Carolina Channel. It is also scheduled to run on RFDTV, which airs on Direct TV on channel 379 and the Dish Network on channel 9409. END
