Since 2002, the rotating art exhibit at the Center has featured artists from the tri-county region. A long-time friend of the South Carolina Botanical Garden, Elizabeth Belser Fuller, has donated her collection of watercolor paintings, which spans from 1947-1989 for one room of the building. "This transformation creates more activity in the building and allows us to use the upstairs for meetings, workshop space and weddings. When the upstairs is not being used for rentals, visitors may enjoy the art exhibits," said Christine Drais, public relations director for the garden. Everyone is invited to meet the artists on the third Saturday of the month for Friends Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the patio of the Discovery Center. There is also free admission to the Campbell Geology Museum, and free coffee for Friends at the Garden Gift Shop in the center. There is also a free nature walk at 10 a.m., which meets at the Discovery Center.
