The course will be offered on Tuesdays, Feb. 1 through March 15, from 7 to 10 p.m. The program will be broadcast from Clemson University to different satellite sites across the state. The registration fee of $140 per person or $200 per couple will include the textbook, “Managing Wildlife,” a companion manual with speaker notes, refreshments and a Master Wildlifer 2005 cap. “Land Managers should find the course valuable in highlighting alternative management approaches for wildlife in forest and farm settings,” said Brian Callahan, Clemson Extension agent and coordinator for the program. “Special emphasis will be placed on wildlife species that currently offer landowners additional sources of income through recreational access fees, including small game species, white-tailed deer, wild turkey, waterfowl and fishponds.” To learn more about the program, obtain a registration brochure, or to locate nearby viewing sites, contact your local Clemson Extension office or contact Callahan at (864) 878-1394. Interested participants may also visit the website at: www.masterwildlifer.org. The Master Wildlifer Program is the winner of the 2004 USDA Secretary's Honor Award, the 2004 American Distance Education Award and the 2003 Southern Region Extension Award. Should you require special accommodations due to a disability, please notify your local Extension office at least 10 days prior to the event. END
