Botanical Garden for a look at the natural landscapes and the people of Peru. Based on a recent trip to this fascinating country, Wagner will take participants from west to east. Peru's diversity includes coastal deserts, tall mountains -- called the Andean Highlands, and tropical rainforests -- called the Amazon Basin. She'll focus primarily on the mountain region, including Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake, Colca Canyon, which is deeper than the Grand Canyon, Cusco and the Sacred Valley and Macchu Picchu, which is Peru's premier travel destination. This free program will be held at the Nature Learning Center and is designed for volunteers and FRIENDS of the Garden and Geology Museum. END
